€130M EuroMillions Superdraw coming soon

EuroMillions players will be looking forward to next month with excitement after it was announced there will be a Superdraw on Friday 15th September.

The first ever Superdraw took place on Friday 9th February 2007. This September’s will be the 19th in EuroMillions history. A 20th draw, meant to be held on 6th June 2014, was postponed after the jackpot naturally rolled above the stated prize. The jackpot has been won on the night of the draw seven times so far. The most recent was on Friday 30th June 2017.

There was a Superdraw last year on Friday 30th September. This particular jackpot rolled over to an incredible £153M before eventually being won by a Belgian ticket holder.

EuroMillions is a European lottery that takes place on Tuesday and Friday evenings. Whereas most national lotteries are generally based from one particular country. The EuroMillions lottery is transnational so it pools the stakes from a number of countries to create huge jackpots and prizes. As the main prize pool can roll over to the following draw, the top prize can be as high as €190 million.

The first EuroMillions lottery draw took place on Friday 13th February 2004. The draws are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 20:45 CET time in Paris. The results and prize breakdown are published shortly after the draw, around 23:00 CET. All prizes, including the jackpot, are paid Tax Free.

Match 5 main numbers and 2 Lucky Stars to win the jackpot. If there’s more than one jackpot winner, the prize will be shared between all the jackpot winners.

There are 13 prize tiers offered for each draw. The estimated jackpot is published prior to the draw. The exact prize value of each tier, including the jackpot, is calculated according to the number of tickets sold in a particular draw and the number of winning tickets.
